Mini Amigurumi Strawberry - Free Crochet Pattern
This quick and easy strawberry pattern was first published on my old blog back in 2015, and I finally got around to making an updated version.
These little amigurumi plushies are perfect for spring or summer. Use them as small gifts, keychains, or cute little decorations!

Difficulty: Easy.
Size:
Using medium (worsted) weight yarn and a 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook, your strawberry will be about 4 cm (1.6 in) wide. However, exact gauge isn't important, and you can easily adjust the size by using thicker or thinner yarn.
You will need:
• Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
red - about 10 m (11 yds)
green - about 2 m (2 yds)
• 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Toy stuffing
• 4 mm round black beads for eyes
• Black sewing thread
• Sewing needle
• Seed beads and matching sewing thread(optional)
Abbreviations (US crochet terms):
R - round(s)
ch - chain
st(s) - stitch(es)
ss - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dec - decrease
Pattern
Body
Work in the round, without joining rounds. Using red yarn, start with a magic ring.
R1: 6 sc in a ring.
R2: (2 sc in next st) 6 times. [12 sc]
R3: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. [15 sc]
R4: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. [18 sc]
R5: (Sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. [21 sc]
R6: (Sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. [24 sc]
R7-8: Sc in each st around, for 2 rounds. [24 sc per round]
R9: (Dec, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times. [18 sts]
If you want to use safety eyes instead of beads, attach them now between rounds 6 and 7, about 4 stitches apart.
R10: (Dec, sc in next st) 6 times. [12 sts]
Stuff the body until it is nice and puffy.
R11: Dec 6 times. [6 sts]
Cut yarn, leaving about 15 cm (6 in) for sewing, and finish off. Add more stuffing if needed, then sew the hole closed and hide the end inside the amigurumi body.
Leaves
Using green yarn, start with a magic ring.
R1: (1 sc in the circle, ch 4, sl st in 2nd chain from hook, sl st in next 2 ch) 5 times.
You should now have 5 little leaves in a circle. Pull on the tail end to close the hole. Cut yarn, leaving a bout 20 cm (8 in) for sewing, and finish off. Join the round with an invisible join.
Finishing
Sew the leaves onto the top of the strawberry.
Use black thread to sew the eyes in place, between rounds 6 and 7 of the body, and about 4 stitches apart.
If you want, sew some seed beads all over the strawberry to look like strawberry seeds.
Your little amigurumi strawberry is complete!
