Storing All My Pins and Needles
I recently made a cute little needle book to store all the little bits that I use while working on my craft projects. I didn't take step-by-step photos for a full tutorial because I was sort of making it up as I go along, but I've written down some notes to help you make your own.
Here's a little video showing some parts of the process: https://youtube.com/shorts/vEuzcweWtOI
I started with a small crochet doily for the cover. I used size 80 crochet thread and a 2.25 mm crochet hook. The pattern I used is called the 'Japanese Dahlia Doily', and is available on the Yarnspirations website.

Once your doily is made, you can use it to determine how big your needle book will be. Mine ended up being about 10.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide, with a 1 cm spine.

This is the tutorial I used to sew the cover: How to Sew a Needle Book. I used plain fabric for the outside cover. I also added pockets and ribbon to the inside cover before sewing the cover pieces together.
I used this tutorial to make the blue felt pieces to hold the pins and needles: Stitching Notes Needle Book.

I used a piece of Aida fabric for storing small blunt-tipped needles.
The crochet lace is made using size 80 crochet thread and a 0.5 mm needle. Here's a link to the pattern: Vintage edging pattern.

The tiny crocheted flowers are also made using size 80 thread and a 0.5 mm crochet hook. I used B-7000 to glue the flowers in place (but any strong glue should work).
Mini Crochet Flower Pattern
Start with a magic ring.
R1: 12 sc in a ring. Join round with a ss. Ch 1.
R2: *(sc, ch 4, sc) in next st. Skip next st. Repeat from * 5 more times. Join round with a ss in first sc. Ch 1.
R3: 5 sc in each ch-4 space.
Cut thread and finish off. Join round with an invisible join. Weave in the ends.

Lastly, I used white sewing thread to sew half of the doily onto the back cover, and sewed a button onto the front to close my needle book.
